The Bond Joining East and West: Collected Writings of Keith de Folo
In the Time Before Globalization, one could be a cosmopolite—a citizen of the world—and that is exactly what Keith de Folo did. A pioneer to faraway lands from the late 1950’s to the early 1970’s, he saw and experienced the birth of the global structure that frames our modern culture and which will find its complete expression in a future age. Intertwined with his narrative and autobiographical musing are penetrating observations and insights into the human condition uniting all of us in the web of creation.
Keith de Folo, a 1948 graduate of Stanford University, embraced the Baha'i Faith in 1949. His travels took him to Myanmar, Italy, Sri Lanka and Nepal (1968-1972), where he was elected to the first National Spiritual Assembly of the country in 1972. His pen served him in good stead throughout: he has written for Forbes, The Christian Herald, The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, The Daily American (Rome), The Times Weekender (Sri Lanka), and The Rising Nepal (Kathmandu).
