Be sure to choose a user name and password that will be easy to remember or record it elsewhere for your records as you will need this information when you visit www.BahaiBookstore.com again.

I can’t find an item I am looking for. How can I search for it? |

There are multiple ways to search for items on our website.
By key word
First, if you know part of the title, you may search by key words that might be found in the title, author, or description of the item. Remember the “By Keyword” search looks for the word in every section of the website. So if you simply type in the word “Baha’i” the search result will bring up over 700 titles.
By ISBN or our product code
If you know the ISBN number of the book you may click on the arrow to the right of “By Keyword” box to reveal a drop down menu. You may then select to search by ISBN. If you are very familiar with our titles and product codes, you may search on them as well.
Browse the web subject catalog
On the left hand side of our home page your will find a column with the heading, “CATALOG”. These categories include such topics as, “Introduction to Baha’i Faith” and “Baha’i Sacred Writings”. When you click on these they will reveal sub categories. Each subcategory will open a list of books or in some cases another series of subcategories. NOTE: Soon you will be able to simply pass your curser over these main categories and a rollover menu will appear revealing all of the subcategories without having to click into separate pages.

I know you carry an item and I can’t find it. Why? |

Some items are temporarily removed from the website when they go out of stock. Products sold by some international vendors can take over three months or more to arrive. These items are temporarily removed from the website and will be placed back on the website when they are back in stock. If you have further questions regarding the availability of a title please call us.

We accept American Express, MasterCard, Discover and Visa. You may pay by credit card or by personal check if you are mailing your order. Please don’t forget to add shipping and applicable taxes. How do I buy a gift certificate for someone and how do I pay with a gift certificate? |

Currently you must call Bahá'í Distribution Service at 800-999-9019 or 847-425-7950 to purchase a gift certificate. You must mail it to Bahá'í Distribution Service along with your book order in order to redeem it. NOTE: In the future, you will be able to both purchase and apply gift certificates on line at www.BahaiBookstore.com.

In the meantime we encourage our resale accounts to utilize our website to explore new and old titles, pricing and availability and place your orders with the Bahá'í Distribution Service according to your normal procedure. How soon will my order arrive and how do I determine my shipping charges and options? |

Most orders are packed and ready to leave our warehouse within two to five business days. Please add this processing time to the shipping time for each method to calculate when your package will arrive. All orders ship from Atlanta, GA and are picked up directly from our warehouse by your selected carrier. Our warehouse is open Monday through Friday during regular business hours. The warehouse is closed on federal holidays and Bahá'í Holy Days. Orders placed over the weekend will ship the following week.
Our shipping charges are based on the actual amounts charged by UPS and the US Postal Service, plus $1 handling fee per order. Shipping charges are calculated, based on the weight of the products, when you place your order. In the event that the websites, where these charges are calculated, are unavailable, the following charges will be applied:
U.S. Shipments
A charge of $4.00 per order plus $1.00 per item is calculated and added to your domestic order. Example: An order containing four items will be charged $8.00 in shipping.
International Shipments
A charge of $20.00 per order plus $2.50 per item is calculated and added to your international order. Example: An order containing two items will be charged $25.00 in shipping.

For domestic shipments within the United States and US Territories, including military addresses:
UPS Ground
1 – 6 Days Shipping Time Guaranteed deliveries to all addresses, with the exception of PO Boxes and military addresses (APO/FPO), in the 48 contiguous states. No weekend delivery. For shipments to PO Boxes, military addresses, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and other US territories, please see Priority Mail.
UPS 2nd Day Air
2 Days Shipping Time Guaranteed delivery to all 50 states and Puerto Rico by the end of the second business day (not including the day the order is shipped). No weekend delivery. UPS does not normally leave 2nd Day Air packages “at the door', a signature is required at delivery. For shipments to PO Boxes and military addresses, please see Priority Mail.
UPS Next Day Air
1-Day Shipping Time Guaranteed delivery by 10:30 am, 12:00 noon, or end of the next business day, depending on location, to all 50 states and Puerto Rico. No weekend delivery. UPS does not normally leave Next Day Air packages “at the door', a signature is required at delivery. For shipments to PO Boxes and military addresses, please see Priority Mail. Note: If shipping to a P.O. Box, please choose "Priority Mail" as your shipping option. UPS does not deliver to a P.O. Box, and if you choose this option, your package could be returned to us. This may result in additional shipping costs and a delay in delivery.
USPS Priority Mail
2 – 3 Days Shipping Time Delivery to all addresses in the United States, including PO Boxes and military addresses, within an average of 2 to 3 business days.
For International Shipping, including shipments to Canada
A note about international shipments: In determining our international shipping policy, we investigated what is normal practice among businesses that have demonstrated excellent international customer service, so we might provide you with the best service possible on international orders. Therefore, we have established the following widely used policy for international shipments.
“Delivery of Merchandise” is defined as complete once the shipment has been safely placed in the hands of the carrier of the customer's choosing. This practice is called “Freight On Board”, which means that the shipper is responsible for ensuring the package is delivered into the possession of the selected carrier or freight forwarder. All further responsibility for lost or damaged shipments rest with the customer.
Airmail Parcel Post
Arrives in the destination country within 4-10 days, depending on destination. Delivery to final address is then handled by your local post office.
International shipping rates do not include customs clearance, duties, or taxes that may be charged by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. Export documentation is required for all international shipments. International mail is subject to customs examination in the destination country. The contents and value of an item must be declared on the applicable customs form.

Your security and privacy are our utmost concern. We do not sell or exchange our customer information with any other business.
Your Security
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We store information gathered on secure computers located in a locked data center. The number of employees involved in the management of the data center that have physical access to these computers is limited. We use firewalls and other security technology to prevent our computers from being accessed by unauthorized persons.

To process credit card transactions, The Bahá’í Distribution Service uses the most respected name in credit card processing services -- Authorize.net. Password security
To further secure your personal customer information we require you to create a customer password when you establish an account with us. We encourage you to use a password that is not easily guessed (i.e., don't use your name or street name). Keep your password secret; do not share it with anyone. The only way you can place an order with us online is by entering both your user name and password.
If you forget your password, simply look for button at the bottom of the page just under “Forgot your login info?” Click the “We’ll email it to you”. It will be sent to the email address under which your Bahá'í Distribution Service Account is assigned. If you want to change your password, simply click on “Account” then click the “Change Password” box and proceed. If you forget your login name you must call Bahá'í Distribution service at 1-800-999-9019.
Safe Shopping Guarantee
Under federal law, a credit card issuer cannot make you liable for charges in excess of $50.00 that result from the unauthorized use of your credit card. There are similar federal laws that relate to debit cards. Exceptions do apply, and you will have to comply with the rules of your credit card or debit card issuer, so please contact your card issuer for further details.

How can I check the status of my order or track the package? |

There are multiple ways to check on an order you have placed with us.
Order Confirmations
You will receive an email order confirmation upon completing your order. You will receive a second email confirmation when your orders ships. If your order is shipped via UPS you will find a tracking number within your shipping confirmation. You must then go online at www.ups.com and use the UPS tracking number to track your package.
View Order History
You may view your order history by clicking on “Account / Login” located at the top center of our homepage. This will open your “Account Control Center”. From there simply click on the “View Order History” box. You will see a list of your previous orders. If you click on the number of the order in the left column you can view the detail of each order.

Will you charge taxes on my order? |

It depends on where your order is being shipped. You will only be charged taxes if you are shipping your order to a location in the state of Georgia, in the United States. Orders shipped to Georgia locations will have all applicable local, county and state sales taxes added to the order total.

We are happy to fill personal orders from international customers. However, if you live in Canada, Europe and the Pacific Rim we ask that you contact our agents in those areas: Unity Arts in Canada, Bahá’í Books UK in Europe and Bahá’í Publications Australia, respectively. Please email us at bds@usbnc.org to obtain contact information for these distributors. In such cases you will often be able to receive your order sooner and with less shipping charges. Should a book be unavailable from these distributors, we warmly invite you to shop online at BahaiBookstore.com and we will quickly process your order. Can I return an item once I receive it? |

If the book or other item is in "new" condition and has been purchased within 30 days, please wrap it securely and send it back with a copy of your invoice and a letter stating the reason for your return.
- Please know that we are only able to accept items that have been purchased from the Bahá'í Distribution Service
- Please include a copy of your invoice or packing slip with the return
- Unless an item is found to be defective, we can accept no returns after 30 days past the date the item was shipped
- Unfortunately any shrink-wrapped item including all CDs and software cannot be returned if they have been opened as a visual inspection of such products cannot guarantee that the item is in saleable condition for another customer.
- We cannot be responsible for packages lost or damaged during return. Therefore, we highly recommend that your return be sent via an insured and traceable method.
- The credit for your return will be applied to the credit card used to make the purchase.
