The Ruhi Institute in Columbia has withstood many trials and tribulations to maintain its large-scale expansion. In telling its story, the Ruhi Institute avoids the duality of success and failure and hopes that their story may help others involved in the large-scale expansion and consolidation of the Faith.

We can never underestimate the importance of teaching our children about the Faith. Ruhi Book 3 focuses on teaching children's classes, including lessons for children and continuing education materials for facilitators of classes.

Book 5 is the second in a series of the Ruhi Books about the spiritual education of children and youth, and in some ways, is a continuation of Book 3. There are 30 lessons: first 15 focus on spiritual qualities, second 15 are more challenging and evolve around a theme related to The Bab or Baha'u'llah.

Ruhi Book 4 deals with the Twin Manifestations of Baha'u'llah and The Bab, explaining Their lives, stations and teachings. Lessons are suitable for adaptation for a wide range of age groups. Baha'u'llah has enjoined upon every Baha'i the duty to teach others about His Faith but, without pressing their hearer, for at the same time, He forbids them to proselytize. Baha'is are therefore instructed to teach their Faith with enthusiasm, wisdom and courtesy. A well known passage from the Baha'i Writings states, "… love all from the depths of your hearts, prefer all religionists before yourselves, be filled with love for every race, and be kind toward the people of all nationalities. Never speak disparagingly of others, but praise without distinction."
