This volume tells the remarkable story of the origins and development of Green Acre Baha'i School, its founder, Sarah Farmer, and the illustrious visit of 'Abdu'l-Baha in 1912. In the early days of Green Acre it attracted such people as W.E.B. DuBois, William Lloyd Garrison, Swami Vivekananda, Mary Hanford Ford, Julia Ward Howe, Booker T. Washington, and Edward Everett Hale. Once a resort hotel in 1890, this place eventually developed into a Baha'i school that today attracts visitors from all over the world.

This book is the perfect combination of information and love for the subject. The authors have done a superb job of sharing their own affection and respect for the place and its history. Recommended for anyone who has been to Green Acre. And if you've never been there, after reading this book you will want to go.
