Intermarry

By: Rhea Harmsen

Intermarry explores the most challenging issue of racism through the turbulent relationship of Jack Wolinsky and Fiona Reed. Jack, a young white architect concerned about stagnant race relations, tries to redevelop a segment of the inner city. Fiona is the ambitious young black woman whose drive gives his dream wings. Together, they build a new company, strive to rebuild a community, and make some inadvertent enemies. With Intermarry, the conversation on race unity has begun. Ideal for book clubs, gifts, and for starting meaningful conversations.

JACK HAS A DREAM...
Jack has a dream - a dream to help revitalize an inner-city neighborhood and the people who live there. He finds many people who are willing to help. And he finds his true partner, the one he has literally been praying for since he was a teenager.

Baha'is will appreciate the journey Jack and Fiona take as they "become informed of one another's character," not through dating, but by working together and serving humanity.
