At the heart of the most challenging issue for the American Baha'i community-the problem of obliterating racial prejudice-stands Louis George Gregory. A highly regarded teacher, writer, and lecturer throughout the first half of the century, Louis Gregory is a major historical figure. To Move the World recounts Louis Gregory's 42 years of service (1909-1951) for the Baha'i Faith, examines social and racial forces at work in the United States during his lifetime and the dynamics shaping the American Baha'i community as it struggled to eliminate racial prejudice.

To Move The World by Gayle Morrison
This book was the basis of a major thesis paper I wrote while earning my Master's degree for my Multicultural course for Black History Month. His life & his love of the Blessed Beauty, Baha'u'llah captured my heart & soul as it did my fellow classmates & my professor as I'd had to read it aloud before them. I was, and still am, in awe of the power this man's life & words had on my classmates & my professor as many asked me questions after I finished my reading. It was such a fantastic teaching aid and so very relevant to the lives of those in my class. One student did his paper on W.E.B. Dubois and immediately saw the correlation between these two men's ideals, even though they were not familiar with Louis Gregory, they said they liked his perspective best. I was outright asked if I was a Baha'i, which I proudly said I was. Several of my classmate & especially my professor said that explained a lot about me (which I took as a supreme compliment). I got an A+ on the assignment.
