Published for the occasion of the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb, Immortal Youth is a unique and beautiful volume collecting some of the sacred and authoritative texts of the Faith concerning the Báb’s life and station. The book is divided into sections covering the birth, declaration, martyrdom, and station of the Báb, followed by a selection of His own prayers and meditations. It includes writings of Bahá’u’lláh and the Báb as well as writings and recorded utterances of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and writings of Shoghi Effendi. As Bahá’ís the world over gather to celebrate the Twin Holy Birthdays on the occasion of this bicentennial year, it is hoped that Immortal Youth will offer readers a special opportunity to reflect on the significance of the life and station of the Faith’s Prophet-Herald.

Review of Immortal Youth: A Tribute to the Life and Station of the Báb

Review by Cathy DePorte on 9/16/2019

In our busy lives, it is hard to know how adequately to plan and carry out bicentenary events. We may focus on the outer aspects: the venue, the invitation and publicity, the program, the materials to order, the food we will offer. But the real celebration relates to the inner terrain, that arena that exists in every human heart and connects us to the Source of all joy and wisdom. Do we remember the flood of recognition, wonder, and gratitude when we first learned of the Bahá’í Revelation? How can we share this with our neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends? 'Immortal Youth: A Tribute to the Life and Station of the Báb' is a compilation well worth our perusal at this potent time and makes a great gift to others. It contains significant passages from Bahá’u’lláh, the Báb, `Abdu’l-Bahá, and Shoghi Effendi about the birth, declaration, martyrdom, and station of the Báb, including Tablets recently translated and released, along with a selection of prayers by the Báb.
